Remington 870 Stocks - THUMBHOLE STOCK

  • LEFT & RIGHT Handed
  • 12GA & 20GA

This Thumbhole Shotgun/Rifle Stock from Revolution Stocks for the 870 Remington combines a high comb with a straight-grip thumbhole that has inherent recoil-absorbing characteristics and is ideal for shooters who go through a lot of shells. The design also affords exceptional stability that is essential for turkey and deer hunting. The attractive laminated finish on both the rear stock and forend is sure to result in nods of approval at the local trap field or sporting clays range.

NOTE: When Remington started making the 870 20 gauge shotgun, they used the same receiver as they did with the 12 gauge.  So if you have an older 20 gauge shotgun, you may need to order a 12 gauge stock/forend set to fit the 20 gauge. A quick measurement of the slide tube should answer that question.  The 12ga. slide tube is 1.080"and the 20ga. slide tube is .94".

The 870 forend is not cut through all the way like the Mossberg 835. The forend has a thin web of wood above the slide tube through hole.

On the 12 gauge rifle stock, the part of the stock that bolts to the receiver is not round like the Mossberg 835. It has a raised area that follows the outside contour of the stock. There is a small dimple above the through-hole - this indicates that the stock is for a 12 guage. The 12ga. slide tube is 1.080".

On the 20 gauge rifle stock, the part of the stock that bolts to the receiver is not round like the Mossberg 835. It has a raised area that follows the outside contour of the stock. There is a small half round recess above the through hole - this indicates that the stock is for a 20 gauge. The 20 gauge stock also fits the Remington 7600, although will require a different forend. The 20ga. slide tube is .94".
